Our client is a leading top tier main contractor with several large scale projects ongoing and coming up, as a company they work across a wide range of sectors; have worked across a number of landmark projects across London and the UK; and within their divisions turn over in excess of £1bn

With further expansion and projects upcoming, they are looking for an energetic and hardworking Construction Operations Manager who will be able to bring a body of experience across a number of their life science projects.

The ideal candidate must have demonstratable experience in this sector and be ready to step into a high energy role in a great organization by offering support the bid process and also have delivered on previous similar projects


Responsibilities
Manage construction operations to achieve safety, performance, and financial success
Drive operational performance and improvements to meet or exceed company goals
Responsible for maintaining, overseeing, tracking, evaluating and refining the overall construction budget and schedules including progress reporting on capital expenditures
Summary report and manage all projects in construction
Assign labour and resources for renovation projects
Promote a safe working culture for all employees and contract laborers
Drive personal performance improvement
Work with Company Director to establish project team long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies
Support implementationof the processes and procedures necessary to scale the business
Supervise project managers and manage performance reviews, hiring and termination decisions, and contract review
Review and finalize all estimates and project related documents before distributing to the appropriate parties
Project marketplace opportunities to ensure company has the capacity to pursue larger and more complex projects
Manage training and development of Project Team Members
Manage recruiting and hiring of new Project Team Members
Work with business development team to determine capacity, discuss opportunities and sales goals
 
Requirements
At least 10 years of experience in Construction Operations Management or Sr. PM role
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field
Experience leading construction operations within a growing organization
Must be a confident, proactive communicator, with great interpersonal and team skills
Travel may also be required

Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail
Must have the ability to handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Ability to create and update project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Familiar with Construction Management Software (Procore)
Comfortable working with internal and external project teams
Experience identifying, hiring, and motivating talented employees
Proven problem-solving ability
Must embrace the company's corporate culture
Entrepreneurial experience - preferred
