| Estimator Longford
Our client is a long established main contractor with projects in Ireland and the UK. They have an excellent reputation for building commercial and residential projects for both public and private clients.
They have a requirement for an estimator to join their team in Longford. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years experience working in the Irish or UK market for building contractors.
You will report directly to the Surveying Director and will be involved in pricing project from €1 -40 Million. There is an opportunity to grow this role to managing an estimating department.
You will come from a Quantity surveying background
Pricing out work ex drawings and preparing pricing documents
Taking charge of the cost management function, throughout all phases of a project.
Preparation of tender documentation.
Reviewing of contracts and ensuring compliance, and taking ownership of all commercial aspects of the project.
Identifying, Pricing & Reporting of all variations as and when they occur
Procurement - operational procurement activity and contract support.
Sending out tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers
Checking measured quantities in pricing documents against drawings and other tender documents
Measurement of sub-contract elements
Managing and forecasting the cash flow of projects in conjunction with the management team
Working to deliver value for money and control budgets
Provide data and analysis of issues & risks as required by management
Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting in conjunction with the management team
