IED Environmental Manager (Industrial Emissions Directive) 

Dublin Port/Leinster

€Neg + Vehicle

Required for Building, Civil & Marine Engineering Contractor with 30+ years  in Civil, Building, Dredging and Marine Works in Ireland & the UK.

Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Main responsibilities:

• Management of the company's:

• Industrial Emission licenced facility

• ISO9001 Quality Management System

• ISO14001 Environmental Management System

• EPA and Local Authority Area Site Licences

• Establishing Industrial Emissions Licenced soil treatment facility (IEL)

• Establishing IEL compliant testing/monitoring system

• Producing customer and regulatory authority documentation as required

• Implement/manage testing programme * Support the operations functions with risk assessments and method statements * Internal auditing of all activities to ISO, customer and regulatory standards

Facilitate external audits from customers and regulatory bodies * Ensure all services are delivered/produced to the required practices and standards * Provide technical support in the identification of non-compliances/deviations from the QESH system

Implement corrective actions and procedures to prevent reoccurrence * Identify areas for improvement, cost savings and work with teams to strive for a best in industry standard

• Team training * Policy development * KPI reporting to senior management * Document control * Customer reports

 Main requirements:

• Primary level 8 qualification or greater in Science, Engineering, or related discipline

• Similar experience >4 years

• Experience in management of ISO9001, ISO14001

• Strong team building skills and proven abilities in decision making and sound personal judgement

• Organisational and investigative skills critical

• Strong communication skills (written & oral)

 Desirable:

• Knowledge of construction contracts,

• Experience in soil stabilisation/solidification,

• Understanding of chemical treatment processes
