Position Summary:
The Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will support the Associate on a number of projects. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and in conjunction with a team. The Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will represent Linesight at client level and have the ability to cost manage projects and attend meetings with high profile clients. 

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates and cost plans for variety of commercial, educational and residential developments using CostX Software 
  • Prepare standard documentation – reports, valuations, letters, financial reports 
  • Prepare tender documents as required by procurement choice 
  • Analyze tenders and prepare tender reports at all stages of procurement 
  • Prepare valuations and cost reports; re-measure as necessary and adjust variations 
  • Assist in the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims 
  • Prepare and agree final accounts 
  • Perform other duties as may reasonably be required for an intermediate cost manager

Desired Experience and Education:
  • Minimum of 4 years post graduate experience
  • Chartered - desirable (final assessment stage)
  • Commercial or private sector experience (desirable)
  • Pre- and post-contract experience
  • Excellent IT skills 
  • CostX experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Client facing
  • BSc essential in a construction related discipline
